Tamil Nadu is moving one step ahead of other states in terms of AI revolution in India. He is working on setting up Artificial Intelligence (AI) laboratories in the entire state to set up an excellence center for AI. For this, preparations are being made to include global big companies, create dedicated missions for AI and to include global big companies and many other investors like Google, Peepal, Applied Materials, Amazon Web Services and Chenn-AI is its center. .
The last fortnight, the Tamil Nadu government announced to set up a unit of 20 million square feet for AI in Coimbatore under the Public-Private Participation (PPP) format and made a big jump to take AI’s ambitions to several cities.
Not only this, the state is ahead of others at the level of application. The state is also taking steps for 3,000 government schools and offices to make facial attendance system, use AI to help farmers in the latest information, improve traffic system in Chennai and introduce ambitious e-Parvai system. The e-pariva person has an AI intelligence mobile application to detect cataract in the eye. Google has taken the initiative to establish Tamil Nadu AI Labs, which will benefit the state. It is one of Google’s largest laboratories globally.
Chief Minister MK Stalin, while addressing the recent state’s leading technology summit ‘Emajin TN-2025’, said, ‘Tamil Nadu has always been ahead of others in promoting industries, information technology (IT) and other emerging areas. According to the emerging changes in technology, the state government is actively pushing transforming sectors such as AI, Blockchain, Internet of Things (IOT) and electric vehicles.
The government is also setting up the Center for Artificial Intelligence along with AI Lab Infrastructure. AI labs will be provided to startups, academics and other parties at a discounted fee to promote research and development in relation to AI.
According to sources, the interest of these companies can revolutionize the AI-competent transport system in Chennai. It can connect suburban rail to buses and taxi services under a platform. Google has targeted to train 20 lakh youth on AI through a syllabus-based approach, starting from the state engineering colleges. Every year 17 percent of the 1.5 million graduate engineers in the country are from Tamil Nadu, which is the highest compared to any state.
