Budget 2025: Preparation for big investment in infrastructure, states will get an interest-free loan of ₹ 1.5 lakh crore for 50 years

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a large investment in infrastructure in Budget 2025. The government will give an interest-free loan of Rs 1.5 lakh crore to the states for 50 years. This money will be spent directly in roads, bridges, railways and other infrastructure, which will run further fast.

Cities will get urban challenge fund

Sitharaman has also launched an urban challenge fund of Rs 1 lakh crore for the development of cities. With this fund, cities will get an opportunity to invest in water, cleanliness and creative projects, so that they can not just live a place to live but become hubs of development.

This fund will inspire states to adopt new and unique projects. Under this, models of competitive and sustainable development will be made in cities, which will make it better to live there.

Every ministry will bring PPP projects plan

Every ministry will plan Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects for the next three years. Along with this, a second asset monitization plan has also been started to raise Rs 10 lakh crore.

Money will be reinstated in new projects

The money that comes from asset monitization will be imposed in new infrastructure projects so that the speed of development does not slow down.

Government will give 25% funding

In the project bank which is worth funding from the bank, the government itself will give funding up to 25%. The rest of the money will be raised from bonds, banking institutions and PPP models.
