The government of Sri Lanka will re -talk on the power purchase agreement with Adani Green Energy to reduce the cost of electricity generated from the 484 MW capacity wind power project. Sri Lankan government spokesperson Nalinda Jayatisa said on Tuesday that the government will renew a reducing the cost of the project to reduce the cost of $ 0.06 per unit.
Jayatisa told reporters here, “We want it to be less than six Americans.” The previous Sri Lankan government had decided to make a 20 -year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Adani Green Energy at a price of 8.2 cents for 484 MW wind plants. However, the decision was disputed as local bidders bid for low units of prices.
